Our Approach
Our approach to learning makes all the difference to students’ academia and growth. WISE aims to nurture its students in an environment built for improvement. We believe that not only is a child’s education important, but that their attitude, mindset, and most importantly, moral values are vital for anyone’s success. We endeavor to teach our students that good manners and values such as being kind, respectful, and ethics are just as important as their academics and education.
That is why at WISE we reward those students who excel in their behavior as well as academics, and encourage those who need an extra push in the right direction. At our school, your child will be influenced to do what is right and know what is wrong — both when it comes to their studies and their social interactions on a day-to-day basis.
Accreditation, Licenses and Academic Partnerships
WISE Academy is proud to be a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational institution committed to excellence in academics, character development, and community engagement. We are fully accredited by Cognia, a respected global nonprofit organization that accredits over 36,000 institutions across 85 countries. Cognia’s rigorous accreditation process evaluates schools on performance standards, leadership capacity, and continuous improvement. WISE Academy successfully renewed its Cognia accreditation in 2025, affirming our dedication to providing a high-quality, student-centered learning environment.
Our early childhood program holds a High-Quality Rating from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). This distinction is part of Michigan’s Great Start to Quality system, which assesses licensed child care and preschool programs based on key indicators such as curriculum quality, staff credentials, safety practices, family engagement, and child outcomes. A high-quality rating means that WISE Academy meets or exceeds state benchmarks for early childhood education, ensuring that our youngest learners are supported in a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment that promotes school readiness and lifelong success.
Our commitment to academic advancement is further demonstrated through our dual enrollment partnerships with Henry Ford College (HFC) and the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Students in grades 9–12 can begin taking college-level courses while completing their high school education at WISE. This program enables students to earn both high school and college credits, helping them accelerate their academic journey and potentially graduate early or with advanced standing.
In 2025, WISE Academy was honored with the AP Platinum Merit by the College Board, recognizing our growing Advanced Placement (AP) program and dedication to academic rigor. This distinction highlights schools that are expanding access to AP courses while maintaining a strong support system for student success. Our AP offerings include AP Literature, AP Language and Composition, AP U.S. History, AP Seminar, and AP Chemistry, all taught by College Board-certified educators trained to deliver challenging, university-level curriculum.
